The Head Lama of Sain Nomun
Venerable Dr. Nergui Sainbuyan, Is the head Khambo Lama of the Sain Nomun Monastery. He obtained his education in Mongolia, India and the United States of America. In 1992 he was the Head Khambo Lama of Dashchoinhorlin Monastery. Ven. Lama Nergui has been the elected Khambo Lama of Sain Nomun monastery since 1998 . From 2002-2004 he was an elected member of the American Buddhist Congress.
In 2001 Ven. Nergui stood for his PhD with the Doctorate Thesis of ‘Religion and the Modern Era’, at the Buddhist Studies Institute in Los Angeles California.
In 2006 he defended his professor research title at the Institute of Philosophy of the Mongolian Academy of sciences, studying theory of the Mongolian Traditional Buddhist Religion. Ven. Nergui continued his religious education in China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore.
